<p>Arrive morning or afternoon, and shared shuttle will whisk you away to the misty cloud forests of Monteverde.</p>
<p>In the morning, hike through a private cloud forest reserve, where you'll explore trees forever coated in epiphytes, rivers that run crystalline, and a variety of native and endemic wildlife, including hummingbirds, howler monkeys, coatimundis, and two-toed sloths.</p>
<p>Tame or thrilling? Today, you're exploring the canopy from above: We're sending you on an exhilarating canopy tour, followed up by one of the best-kept secrets of the cloud forest: <strong>tree-climbing!</strong></p>
<p>Take the scenic boat journey over Lake Arenal – sparkling waters, rolling hills and, if it's a clear day, spectacular views of Arenal Volcano, an active volcano and one of the world's "most perfect" cones. </p><p></p><p>Then, get your foodie on during a coffee + chocolate tour: bean-to-cup and bean-to-bar – separate journeys, but both delicious!</p><p></p><p>After your tour, you will have a private transfer to you lodge in Santa Clara.</p><p></p><p></p>
<p>With nearly over 900 species of birds Costa Rica is a birders paradise. A bilingual guide will take you on a unforgettable morning journey through the rain forest while helping you to spot and identify the most spectacular birds in the world. Enjoy the dawn hours from 6 am to 8 am and hear the music of Costa Rica’s most amazing creatures!</p><p></p><p>At night, your guide will take you through the breathtaking lush grounds of tree houses filled with exotic plants and wildlife. It’s fun for the whole family! Flashlights are provided. Be ready for an awesome, unforgettable adventure in the rain forest! </p><p></p><p></p>
<p>In this half day tour, you will have a unique opportunity to not only be near the wild animals, but also help in their rehabilitation. You will help with their diet by preparing their food and feeding them. This option is considered one of the best things to do in La Fortuna, and the Arenal Volcano area. </p><p></p>
<p>You will depart early from La Fortuna (5:00 am). Upon arrival to the river you will gear up with a life jacket, helmet and paddle and then brief you with a full safety orientation talk. Finally, it is time to take off down the rapids!</p><p>The first 4 miles consist of fun class II-III rapids which is a perfect time to test your new river skills and gain confidence in your team. After the gorge the rivers opens up to a 5 mile stretch on the Valle del Pacuare, where the river has a different character. It is wide open, which gives you the opportunity to rest a bit and take the opportunity to do some wildlife spotting. </p><p>After your tour, you will be dropped off at your lodge in Punta Uva (6:30 pm) </p><p></p>
<p>You will have the day free to relax in your hotel or to explore the nearby beaches.</p>
<p>You will first embark in a magical sea kayaking journey paralleling a coast full of cliffs, caves, and the most amazing rainforest. Then you will paddle your way up river though gorgeous rainforest where you can expect to spot monkeys, sloth, colorful birds, river turtles, bats and iguanas. Your professional guide will deliver a lot of interesting insights on this wonderful ecosystem. Back at the beach, you will take a nice break to relax, swim and enjoy some nicely presented fresh fruit and snacks before hiking to the great overview at Grape Point.</p>
<p>A shared shuttle will pick you up in the early afternoon (1:45 pm) and will take you to a drop off point near the SJO airport. </p><p>From there, a transportation will pick up and take you to your hotel.</p><p></p>
