Submissions are now open for Wanderlust Visions 2026, the UK’s longest running travel photography and videography competition.

This year, we’re calling for photo entries across five categories: People, wildlife, culture, landscape, and Abu Dhabi. Videography was added as a category for the first time last year, and now we’re asking for people to submit videos between 30 seconds and two minutes long under the theme ‘hidden travel surprises’.

Both the overall photography winner and the video winner will be sent to Abu Dhabi on commission for Wanderlust, and they’ll also receive a £3,000 cash prize. The two second place winners will each get a £2,000 cash prize, while the two third place winners will receive £1,000. All of the winners will see their work published in Wanderlust magazine, and shared across our website and social media.

Wanderlust Visions, formerly known as Travel Photo of the Year, is open to both professional photographers and amateurs, and you can click here to see last year’s winners for some inspiration.

Submissions will remain open until 15 September 2025, with the shortlist going live in January 2026. You’ll then be able to view the photos online and vote for your favourites, with a selection going on display at Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show in Manchester and London that month for in-person voting, after which the winners will be announced.
